LeashAgain lets you create an account in the LeashAgain mobile app. If you create an account, you can also request that your account and the personal data associated with it be deleted.

This page explains how to request account deletion and what happens to your data.

How to delete your account in the app
The fastest way is inside the LeashAgain app:

Open the LeashAgain app and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
After you confirm, your account is deleted and you are signed out. This action cannot be undone.

If the app asks you to sign in again before deleting, that is a security check. Sign in again, then repeat the steps above.

How to request deletion by email
If you cannot use the in-app option, email us:

Please use the subject line: Account deletion request

Include:

The email address linked to your LeashAgain account
Your full name (if available on the account)
A clear statement that you want your account and associated personal data deleted
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before we proceed.

What we delete
When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with that account, including where applicable:

Account profile information (such as name and email)
Login / authentication data for your LeashAgain account
Dog profiles and related information you added
Training progress and in-app activity linked to your account
Support messages and similar account-linked content, where stored by us
What may be retained temporarily
In limited cases, we may retain certain information only as required by law or for legitimate business needs, for example:

Payment or transaction records required for tax, accounting, or fraud prevention
Records needed to resolve disputes or enforce our terms
Backups for a short period until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle
Where we must retain data, we keep it only as long as necessary and do not use it for other purposes.

Timing
In-app deletion: Your account is removed promptly after you confirm in Settings.
Email requests: We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a valid request.
You will receive a confirmation by email when a deletion requested by email has been completed, when contact is possible.

Signing out vs deleting your account
Signing out only ends your current session. It does not delete your account or your data.

To permanently remove your account and associated personal data, use Delete account in Settings or email Dev@leashagain.com.
